Bronco | Rear tailgate window hinge decals
REQUIRED:
- 65-70F shaded weather
- Minimum 3 days before any raining / wetting / washing
- Cleaner of choice that doesn't leave behind grease / film / residue
- Microfiber towel
- Clean hands
- Hair dryer or heat gun *** IMPORTANT ***

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Clean area thoroughly.
- Make sure area is fully cleaned, dried, and without any grease / film / residue / dirt / dust / lint that can get in the way of application. -
Using a hair dryer or heat gun, apply heat on low setting to warm up the surface.
- This is REQUIRED regardless of the weather. Spend EXTRA time on this if it's cold out.
- Heat helps activate the adhesive and allows it to cling to the texture of this area.
(You'll notice decals are easier to stick onto a completely smooth surface such as the window, for example. That's why you need extra heat for textured surfaces, like this part.) - Make sure your hands are clean. Use both hands to hold the decal and align to the flatmost rectangular surface of the hinge.
- Take your time and be gentle while working on your alignment. You can relift the decal as you reposition but try to minimize the number of times you do so.

-
Smooth over the surface and edges, always working from center outwards.
- Push any wrinkles / bubbles OUTWARDS towards the edges.
- Pressure from smoothing over with your fingers will also better help with adhesion onto the texture of the surface. Make sure to seal all parts of the decal, paying attention to the edges. - Apply heat on low setting again and smooth.
- The adhesive is heat and pressure activated, so continue to smooth over with fingers while applying heat.
- The texture of this area requires this for proper adhesion. -
Wait a few days before any kind of rain / wetting / washing.
- Allow the decal to fully seal and bond to the surface before it gets wet. Plan you install ahead accordingly.
